Hey there! So, what are toxins? Toxins are something that doesn’t belong in our body or something that is in excess. They can come from the air we breathe, the food we eat, or even the stuff we put on our skin.
Imagine this: every time you take a bite of food, breathe in the air, or use soap in the shower, there could be toxins hanging out with them. They’re like unwanted guests crashing our body’s party!
Suzanne Summers said it well:
“People are so busy counting calories. I think we should be busy counting chemicals,” “Where’s the tipping point? There’s the air freshener. There’s what you’re cleaning your house with. Pest sprays…all poison. The chlorine that you’re using. The fluoride in the water… And then you’re eating food that is not organic. What you’re putting on skin care that’s all chemicals… Well, guess what? That’s going to go somewhere. It drops into the bloodstream…”
Toxins can be a big deal because they can make us feel sick and contribute to chronic diseases. But guess what? We can actually do something about it!
The more combinations of toxins we have accumulated, the more compounded the negative effects. We can control and eliminate most of the environmental toxins we are exposed to. But first we need to learn how we are getting exposed, remove them and then PREVENT them from entering our body in the first place.
In this series, we’re going to dive into the different types of toxins. We’ll talk about where they come from and how we can get rid of them.
So, stay tuned! We’ll explore more about these toxins and how to show them out in the next part!
